Dr. K. Sankaran

 

Dr. K. Sankaran is Professor at International Management Institute, New Delhi, India

 

He is a Bachelor to Technology (Honors) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, has an PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and a PhD from the Kent State University, Ohio.

 

He teaches in the areas of Strategic Management, Knowledge Management, Learning Organizations, Social Responsibility of Business and has designed several courses at post graduate levels.

 

His research interest spans Social Capital, Knowledge Capital, Consciousness, and Pedagogy in Management.

 

His research articles have appeared in many journals including Strategic Management Journal, Singapore Management Review and IIMB Management Review. His papers have been presented at major international conferences of the Academy of Management, TIMS/ORSA, Decision Sciences Institute, International Conference on Knowledge, Culture and Change in Organizations, among others.

 

He is the Principal Coordinator of a research project on “Social Capital and Technology.” The project is being funded by the Government of India’s Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. 

 

Currently he is Guest Editor to Inderscience’s “International Journal of Management and Decision Making” – Special Issue on Social capital.

 

He has authored a book on how to choose careers. He has written several articles for the “Times of India” “The Hindu” “Deccan Herald” and “PTI Features”. He also has interest in vipassana meditation, creativity and poetry.

 

He experience includes, besides academia, several years of consulting for the corporate sector, line experience in project and operations functions and being an entrepreneur.

Dr. T. N. Badri

 

Dr. T. N. Badri obtained his degree in Mathematics from St. Stephen’s College in 1988. He completed his M.S. in Computational Mathematics from Clemson University, USA in 1992. His Ph.D studies were in Computational Geometry and Computational Biology. He completed his studies in May 2002 and graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, USA.

 

He has been assistant professor in Production and Operations Management at the T. A. Pai Management Institute since then. At this institute he teaches remedial quantitative techniques, decision making and operations research. He also offers electives in Computer Simulation and Network Models.

 

He has published three papers based upon his dissertation in reputed internationally refereed journals such as Discrete Applied Mathematics, Discrete and Computational Geometry and Journal of Mathematical Modeling and Algorithms. Since returning to India he has begun working on research topics from a financial perspective, and hopes to publish three more articles in the near future. He has been gaining this perspective by attending and presenting his work at conferences at the IIMs in India, at Anna University, Chennai and at Hanyang University, Seoul.

 

 For relaxation he likes to go jogging, or play some notes on wind instruments such as the nadaswaram and flute.

Prof. R. C. Natarajan

 

Prof R. C. Natarajan is currently the Post Graduate Programme Chairman and the Students Affairs Chairman of T.A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal, India.

 

He is a Post Graduate in Economics from JNU, New Delhi and PGDRM from IRMA, Anand. He has over 15 years of experience in industry. Prior to joining TAPMI, he worked in marketing and sales Management in the FMCG sector, including Amul. He teaches Distribution Management, Marketing Strategy and Managerial Communication and his research interests are in Distribution Management, Conflict Management and Systems Dynamics.

 

Prof. Natarajan won the Best Case Writing Award of Association of Indian Management Schools in 2001. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Channel Management.
